I am seriously anticipating his future album, I don’t know when it is due but it will probably sound a bit different from his latest work with the Strange Music team and I find that to be exciting. Rittz quoted: “They are like family to me”, on an interview with HipHopDX, when asked about his relationship with Strange. It was very important for Rittz to explain that although he is moving on, the business with Strange Music Inc will not stop and that he is departing with good taste.

Especially with Strange Music and their beef with Kutt Calhoun, who parted ways with the label full of mixed feelings. When hearing about an artist leaving a record label you quickly assume that there were problems between the parties and that something must have not been working correctly between them.

I don’t know how serious Rittz was about that, but I know I would love to continue hearing his music and watch him develop and overcome his next obstacle/opportunity. Rittz teased when asked about where his next step is headed and said that he might start his own label. Rittz signed a deal with Strange that he will release 4 albums, now after releasing his fouth album – Last Call, its time for him to keep moving forward and explore new territories. Combine that with Strange Music’s knack for face-melting beats, and of course an appearance form label boss Tech N9ne, and needless to say. Rittz announced that he will be leaving the Strange Music Label some time around the near future. For starters, Rittz has one of the best flows in rap. Some of My Favorite Songs By Rittz to Get You Started! What I like about Strange Music and the artists that they sigh to their label, is that most of them have an extremely impressive rap flow, but they can also vocally sing really well. I felt like Strange Music did their thing once again. I remember how hyped I was when Rittz and Tech N9ne released their first collaboration single: “ Bloody Murdah“. By 2012, Rittz signed a major deal with the Strange Music Label. After his success with Yelawolf on tour and the release of White Jesus, Rittz was finally moving in the right direction. The boost from Yelawolf and the positive reaction from fans lead him to his widely known mixtape White Jesus, which he released on 2011. Yelawolf also went on tour with Rittz in “ The Slumerican Made Tour“. Luckily Rittz did not put his hands up, in 2009 Yelawolf began cooperating with Rittz and featuring him on his hit My Box Chevy. He even got to a point in his rapping career where he was ready to resign and let go of his life long dream. Rittz did not have it easy for himself, he took a lot of rejections and ups and downs before finally breaking through. Rittz AKA Jonathan McColllum was born in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, on August 16, 1980.
